Building Excellence: Jessica Williams

May 2nd, 2026

Jessica Williams has been a dedicated Custodian with Facilities at Florida State University since 2018, playing an essential role in keeping campus spaces clean, safe, and welcoming. In her position, she is responsible for maintaining a variety of buildings, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas. Through careful attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness, she helps ensure that each space is ready to support the daily activities of students, faculty, and staff.

On a typical day, Williams focuses on completing routine cleaning tasks, addressing any immediate needs that arise, and making sure her assigned areas meet university standards. She takes pride in being dependable and consistent, approaching her work with a thoroughness that keeps operations running smoothly. For Williams, the most rewarding part of her role is knowing that her efforts make a difference and her team contributes to the overall success of the campus community.

When she’s not at work, Williams enjoys spending time outdoors, especially fishing and participating in sports that keep her active. She also has a unique, fun fact - Williams is the proud owner of two turtles and two tarantulas, a combination that certainly keeps life interesting outside of work!
