Serves as the university’s subject matter expert and program leader for vertical and horizontal transportation systems, ensuring campus elevators comply with Florida statutes, regulations, and safety requirements. Oversees the campus-wide elevator maintenance program, including preventive maintenance, inspections, permits, shutdowns, repairs, emergency response, entrapments, and return-to-service approvals.

Performs surplus property transportation, warehouse, inventory, and material handling operations for the university. Picks up, delivers, loads, unloads, organizes, and moves surplus equipment, furniture, and materials using trucks, trailers, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.

Maintains and enhances campus gardens, landscapes, greenhouses, and nursery areas by performing horticultural and groundskeeping duties that promote healthy plant growth and an attractive campus environment. Responsibilities include planting, pruning, weeding, watering, fertilizing, transplanting, landscape renovation, pest and disease management, plant propagation, greenhouse operations, and debris removal.

Performs groundskeeping and landscaping duties to maintain a safe, clean, sustainable, and attractive campus environment. Responsibilities include mowing, edging, pruning, mulching, watering, weed control, debris and litter removal, planting trees and shrubs, turf maintenance, and landscape installation and renovation.

Performs routine groundskeeping and landscaping duties to maintain the appearance and safety of university properties, including mowing, edging, pruning, mulching, weed control, debris removal, and planting of trees, shrubs, and other landscape materials. Assists with landscape installation and renovation projects, operates and maintains manual and power equipment, reports equipment maintenance needs, and safely operates university vehicles in support of departmental operations.

Supervises and coordinates the daily activities of a grounds maintenance work unit by planning work assignments, training employees, monitoring performance, and supporting staffing, scheduling, and timekeeping functions. Performs and oversees groundskeeping and landscaping tasks, including mowing, trimming, planting, watering, weed control, debris removal, and small landscape renovation projects to maintain the appearance and health of university grounds

Performs groundskeeping and landscape maintenance duties to support the appearance and upkeep of University properties, including edging, raking, weed removal, litter collection, watering plants, and operating power equipment. Assists with landscape enhancement projects through plant installation, transplanting, soil excavation, and debris removal. Maintains manual and power equipment in safe working condition, reports maintenance issues to supervisors, and completes additional tasks as assigned to ensure clean, safe, and attractive campus grounds.

Provides comprehensive custodial and waste management support within a high-traffic facility, including trash disposal, recycling coordination, and light bulb replacement in accordance with university standards. Performs routine and deep cleaning of floors, surfaces, furnishings, and building exteriors using a variety of cleaning methods and equipment.

Operates and maintains shredding and recycling equipment within a waste management facility, including forklifts, balers, and conveyor systems. Responsible for securely shredding confidential documents in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained prior to processing. Oversees the safe handling, transport, and temporary storage of sensitive materials until final destruction.

Performs grounds maintenance duties including mowing, edging, mulching, pruning, watering, and debris removal to maintain clean and attractive campus landscapes. Assists with planting shrubs and trees, turf maintenance, soil preparation, and resodding. Safely operates and maintains grounds equipment, ensuring proper functionality and reporting maintenance issues as needed.
