Performs skilled electrical, controls, and utility maintenance for the Central Utilities Plant and satellite facilities, including electrical systems up to 600V and support of 4.16kV and 15kV campus distribution systems. Installs, repairs, and maintains motors, breakers, control devices, generators, boilers, chillers, pumps, compressors, wiring, and related utility equipment. Performs medium-voltage switching, troubleshooting.

Performs skilled electrical, controls, and mechanical maintenance for the Central Utilities Plant and associated utility systems, including troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical distribution systems, boilers, chillers, generators, pumps, compressors, control systems, and related equipment.

Operates and monitors boilers, chillers, and related utility plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations in accordance with established procedures. Maintains operational logs, records meter readings, performs water quality testing, and reports equipment issues or irregularities.

Responsible for providing mechanical engineering services for university facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, boilers, chillers, and energy systems. Develops engineering designs and construction documents, ensures compliance with codes and FSU design standards, and reviews consultant work. Oversees the Mechanical Engineering team, manages project budgets and procurement, and supports campus and utility master planning.
